Fred’s story:
For 29 years I taught Physical Education in New Jersey. During this time I coached baseball, softball and soccer (including camps and leagues for football and basketball). While teaching, I was awarded the National Presidential Program Replication Award for implementation of Adaptive Physical Education per National mandate (Project ACTIVE) and even been the keynote speaker on Parental Involvement in Education at the N J state PTA President’s Convention.

In 2008 a move to Chicago prompted me to follow my passion for exercise and become a certified personal trainer. For over three years I trained at an upscale in Northbrook, Ill., during which time I honed my skills in boxing / kickboxing training, TRX and mature clientele training. I also picked up a Volunteer of the Year Award from the YMCA.

On a personal note; I love fly fishing, cooking (as my wonderful wife can attest), learning to play the guitar and getting my cardio walking the world’s cutest dog. I personally prefer traditional weight training and body weight training as my personal regimen which I do five days s week. As a 16 year old I was signed by a New York Yankee scout ( no, I never did go on to replace Mickey Mantle in center field ) and was later played semi pro Fast Pitch softball.

Through my training career I’ve had the pleasure of training a former Playmate of the Year (1966), an owner of the Chicago Black Hawks and the gentleman who in the Sixties and Seventies was the driving force behind putting an IBM Electric typewriter on every office desk in America. In short, I’ve been around awhile and did the best I could to make the most of my time. I am grateful that at this stage of my life I have been embraced by “The U “.
