Chris’s story:
I graduated from New Albany High School and have been a member of Ultimate U for about 6 years prior to becoming a trainer. I spent a year with UU President (now my boss) Troy as my trainer. During that time I realized that Ultimate U was different than any other gym/facility I had ever been to. The difference I saw was in the way the clients were treated and taken care of, which made me gravitate towards making this my profession.

I played varsity sports in both high school (HS- Football and Basketball) and college (Football). After graduation I earned my ACSM-CPT and have recently become a MELT Method Hand and Foot instructor. MELT specializes in relieving pain, stress, inflammation, soreness, and even helps you sleep better.

I became a personal trainer to help people become healthier, happier individuals, and give them the tools to reach their goals. There is nothing more satisfying to me than a client breaking through their barriers and achieving something they never thought they would be able to do. What we do here is more than just getting our clients to lift more weight (though that is certainly a benefit), it is more about giving them the opportunity to have a more positive and healthy life. I care about helping my clients (as does our entire staff) and am proud to be part of a team who share in my passion for putting people first.
